Cosmetic ColorantsDermaGlo, cosmetic colorants are a new range of fluorescent pigments that combine D&C certified dyes in a unique, proprietary resin matrix. This technology creates the cleanest, brightest shades possible from D&C certified components, with the added benefit of virtually eliminating bleed that is common with traditional D&C lakes and other types of dyes. DermaGlo cosmetic colorants is the only range available of true fluorescent colors that are approved for use in cosmetic applications, allowing users to access a wide range of brighter shades with complete confidence for the first time. Product Range DermaGlo is available in two different products ranges-DG and DGS series-which should be selected depending on individual formulation requirements. - DG series : Available in a wide color range, DG series is suitable for less aggressive systems, such as water-based formulations.
- DGS series: This is the latest addition to the DermaGlo range and has been designed for use in more challenging formulations that incorporate solvents and/or higher processing temperatures. DGS series employs a revolutionary new thermoset polymer component that is resistant to the solvents commonly used in nail enamels and hair sprays. Furthermore, it can be processed at higher temperatures than the standard DG series without adverse effects.
