Optical Brightening Agents & Clarifying Agent

Optical brightening agents are also known as fluorescent whitening agents (FWA) and are useful in masking the inherent yellowness in plastics, lacquers, paints, inks, photographic solutions and fibres. These optical brighteners function by absorbing light in the invisible UV spectrum and emitting light in the visible blue region (400-500 mm) via a fluorescent mechanism. The end result is a brighter and fresh appearance also known as whiter than white or ultra white.
These optical brighteners are also useful in brightening of other color pigments and increasing the jetness of black pigments.
Clarifying or Nucleating agent is a high performance sorbitol based substance that reduces haze and enhances the clarity of polypropylene through nucleation of the polymer. Our range includes fluorescent whitening agent, optical brightening agent, nucleating or clarifying agent for polypropylene.

Fluorescent Brightener OB
Multi purpose brightener for whitening of thermoplastics, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyester fibres, paints, inks, solvent based coatings, etc. Best Brightener for white pigmented polyolefin polymers. Imparts natural white effect.
Fluorescent Brightener OB-1
Mainly used in the whitening of polyester and other plastics, as well as in the whitening of nylon during polymerization. Most popular brightener for producing LLDPE based brightener masterbatch. Very useful for improving the appearance of recycled or reprocessed polymers such as polyester and nylon waste.
Fluorescent Brightener KCB
Mainly used in the whitening of synthetic fibres and plastics products, especially good at whitening of EVA & PET. Also useful for whitening of solvent based coatings, ink & paints. Comprehensive application field, good compatibility with all kinds of plastics, excellent stability under all kinds of climatic conditions, significantly stronger as compared with OB & OB-1. Imparts a neutral white effect. |

Nucleating Or Clarifying Agent For PolypropyleneNucleating agent is used for producing high clarity polypropylene. The product acts as a clarifying agent, by creating a large number of small size spherulites (<1μm) during the cooling of the polypropylene melt. These small spherulites lead to a polypropylene that has greatly improved clarity and reduces haze compared to polypropylene which is not clarified. Additional benefits are enhanced stiffness and shorter mould cycle time which results in better production rate.
Nucleating agent is an ideal for food contact applications. Products of such structural formula have been approved by FDA permitting food contact application in the international market.
