Photoluminescent, Retro-Reflective & Light Diffusion Pigments

Photoluminescent Pigments are characterized by their ability to absorb and store light energy and release this energy for a long period of time in darkness. This cycle of absorbing-storing-emitting is infinite. Applications are found in coatings, inks, paints and polymers for novely and safety uses. Retro-Reflective Pigments are comprised of aluminum coated spherical glass beads and strongly reflect the incident light. The major use is in traffic and safety sign boards for road safety application. Other uses such as reflective clothing are also popular.

Photoluminescent Pigments

We offer photoluminescent pigments. Strontium Aluminate type glow-in-the-dark powders particularly recommended where an extremely high brightness and ultra long after-glow period is desired. They have very good light fastness and weather resistance properties. Suitable for incorporation into various types of paints, printing inks, silicone rubber, textile fibers, glass, ceramics and coloration of plastics.

Afterglow Pigments

New generation afterglow pigments are available, which are up to 10 times brighter and glow 10 times longer, as compared to conventional photoluminescent pigments. These new types afterglow pigments exhibit excellent light fastness and chemical resistance and are suitable for prolonged outdoor use. They find applications in coatings, inks, paints and polymers.

Phosphorescent Pigments

These are phosphorescent pigments characterized by their ability to absorb and store the energy of natural/artificial light and slowly emit it in the form of visible light in the dark. The cycle of absorbing, storing and emitting is practically infinite. The after glow phenomenon is also referred to as phosphorescence and hence these pigments are also known as phosphorescent (Glow-in-the-Dark) pigments.
