Description
Radiant RPC Series Fluorescent Plastic Colorants
Radiant RPC Series comprises formaldehyde-free daylight and UV-responsive fluorescent plastic colorants based on a dyed/pigmented thermoplastic polyamide-ester copolymer. It is developed for plastic processing applications requiring strong fluorescent colour and high heat stability.
Key Technical Features (Radiant RPC Series)
- Form: Powder
- Particle Size: 8–16 µm (<20 µm)
- Melting Point: 125–150°C
- Decomposition Temperature: >320°C
- Specific Gravity: 1.20 g/ml
- Maximum Recommended Processing Temperature: 280°C
- Heat Stability Range: 170–280°C
- Formaldehyde: Free
- Packaging: 20 kg box
- MOQ: 20 kg
Applications
RPC Series is recommended for extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding and film blowing. It is particularly suited to polyolefins such as LDPE, HDPE and PP, and can also be evaluated for rubber applications.
Processing
A minimum processing temperature of 170°C is required to melt the pigment into the polymer and achieve uniform distribution. The temperature impact should be kept as low as practical to minimize effects on fluorescent properties. The series exhibits negligible, if any, mould plate-out and excellent heat stability.
Standard Colours
RPC Series is available in Chartreuse, Orange, Orange Red, Red, Pink and Magenta shades.
Storage: Up to 120 months when stored in closed original packaging in a dry place at ambient temperature.
