Description
Radiant GXT Series Fluorescent Pigments
Technical Overview
Radiant GXT Series is a range of formaldehyde-free daylight fluorescent pigments designed for applications requiring increased colour strength, high light reflection, improved lightfastness and good solvent resistance. The pigments are supplied as powders and are designed as stir-in systems, eliminating the need for grinding.

Performance Properties
Colour Strength:
GXT pigments provide increased colour strength while maintaining high light reflection.
Lightfastness:
The series offers significantly improved light stability compared with traditional fluorescent pigments.
Solvent Resistance:
The pigments provide excellent resistance in specified solvent systems.
Formaldehyde-Free:
The series is manufactured without formaldehyde.
Easy Incorporation:
GXT pigments are insoluble and require dispersion, but can be easily stirred into compatible formulations. No grinding is required.
Solvent Resistance
Radiant GXT Series shows excellent resistance in the following solvent systems:
- MEK
- Ethyl acetate
- Ethanol
- Isopropyl alcohol/water 95/5
- Water/isopropyl alcohol 90/10
The actual performance should be evaluated in the final formulation and under the intended processing conditions.
Recommended Applications
Radiant GXT Series is recommended for applications where light stability, colour strength and solvent resistance are critical.
Suitable applications include:
- Water-based paints
- Solvent-based paints
- Textile inks
- Crayons
- Aerosols
- Screen printing inks
- PVC plastisol
Application suitability should be confirmed through formulation trials before production.
Processing Information
GXT pigments are designed for easy stir-in incorporation; however, they remain insoluble and therefore require proper dispersion within the formulation.
During processing, the impact of heat on fluorescent properties should be minimized. The TDS recommends keeping temperature exposure as low as practically possible. Longer processing periods and elevated temperatures may require additional health and safety precautions.

Packaging & Storage
Radiant GXT Series is supplied in 20 kg boxes, with a minimum order quantity of 20 kg. The stated shelf life is 120 months when the product is kept in its original closed packaging in a dry place at ambient temperature.
Application Selection
For selecting a suitable GXT grade, consider:
- Required fluorescent shade
- Water- or solvent-based formulation
- Required light stability
- Solvent exposure
- Processing temperature
- Substrate compatibility
- Required colour strength
- Dispersion requirements
Laboratory evaluation under actual formulation and processing conditions is recommended before commercial use.
